Narrative Essay - A Visit To The Seaside (Quiz # 3)

Supervisor: Sir Sohail Ahmed

Dated: May 18, 2016

Following is the essay which I (Adeel Ahmed) wrote for this surprise quiz:

I had just finished my final exams, and I had been fed up from the continuous study. Therefore, to experience a change in the mundane life, we decided to arrange a picnic with all the class fellows. After some discussion, the destination was chosen as "Cape Mount".

Fishing Night

Thinking about sea shore always makes a ravishing (very beautiful) and bateau-mouche (sightseeing boats for tourists) vision in mind. Ahan you guest correct I am telling you about the visit of the Churna Island. It was one year ago, when me and my friends did some arithmetic (calculation) regarding feasibility. Some friends were very vigorous (energetic, strong) about the visit.

Mirza Ghalib

Na Tha Kuch Toh Khuda Tha, Kuch Na Hota Toh Khuda Hota;
Duboya Mujh Ko Honay Nay, Na Hota Mein Toh Kya Hota?

Hua Jab Ghum Se Yun Behis toh Ghum Kya Sir Kay Katnay Ka;
Na Hota Sir Juda Tan Se Toh Zaano'n Per Dhara Hota.

A Short Story

It was an idyllic afternoon. He was sitting at his desk in the study room and solving arithmetic problems to entertain himself. And why not, he was quite decent at maths, after all! It was his all-time favourite pastime. During this, the aroma of the sweet tea filled his nostrils. Basking in its glory, he scratched his large, bulbous nose. He knew that the tea was ready, and his wife would be bringing it any time soon.
